SONY Betamax Hall Effect Sensor Device (SL-C9, SL-C20, SL-C24, SL-C30, SL-C40, SL-F25, SL-F30, SL-HF100, SL-HF150, SL-HF950)

£19.95

A common failure point of the Head not spinning when play is pressed is the failure of the hall effect device, fitted into the motor drive section of the head drum. Changing this device takes around an hour, but requires knowledge of soldering and fiddling with old video recorders!

Supplied here are TWO new old stock hall effect devices. We supply a spare, as it’s very easy to lose them while fitting, or damage one if you don’t fit the device properly.

We offer a fitting service for these if you send us your machine. Please enquire for details.

This hall effect device fits the following Sony Betamax machines (plus probably some others): SL-C9, SL-C20, SL-C24, SL-C30, SL-C40, SL-F25, SL-F30, SL-HF100, SL-HF150, SL-HF950.
