Pioneer CLD-S315 - PAL / NTSC Laserdisc Player
Here’s one of the most reliable players from the great Pioneer days, before things got overly complicated and unreliable. It is a UK model, which plugs directly into a UK socket.
We had two of these, both sent to us after they’d been damaged in transit and after being bought on eBay. This is the most common way of destroying a player.
Player one had the whole laser assembly damaged and torn out of its slide and the other had the entire front smashed in. We now have the best parts of two players together, with a full service included. The powersupply has been checked and rebuilt. The laser alignment has been checked and adjusted- so the picture is excellent right through to the end of the disc. Belts have been changed, and all old grease has been removed and replaced with a very light machine oil. The video output circuit has had two out of tolerance components replaced.
There are marks on the casing - with a small crack on the bottom right, and marks to the top front and top metal cover. This doesn’t affect the beautiful sound and picture of this unit - which would make a great multistandard player for any collection.
